Dans le cadre de la Coupe d’Afrique des nations (CAN) féminine Maroc 2023, la liste des joueuses sélectionnées a été rendue publique ce lundi 27 juin 2022.
Sur un effectif de 31 présélectionnée, le sélectionneur des Etalons Dames Pascal Sawadogo a réduit sa liste à 26 pour joueuses pour répondre aux exigences de la Confédération africaine de football (CAF). Des 5 non sélectionné figure, la sociétaire des Étincelles, Fadilatou Ouedraogo, qui, trouve sa justification par le fait qu’elle traîne une blessure depuis quelques temps et avait perdu la place dans le groupe selon l’encadrement technique.
Pour leurres premières qualification à la CAN féminine, les étalons dames sont logés dans le groupe A en compagnie du pays hôte, le Maroc, du Sénégal et de l’Uganda. Burkina Faso joue en match d’ouverture le 2 juillet contre le Maroc. Les 5 et 8 juillet, elles affrontent successivement le Sénégal et l’Uganda.
