The base of the 14th Combined Arms Regiment in Djibo was the target of a terrorist group on the morning of Monday, October 24, 2022. According to the press release from the General Staff of the Armies, on the enemy side, at least 18 bodies of terrorists were counted during search operations which are still in progress.
PRESS RELEASE The 14th Combined Arms Regiment of Djibo faced, on the morning of October 24, 2022, a terrorist attack which targeted its base. The elements of the regiment valiantly responded to direct and indirect fire from the enemy who came in large numbers. Air reinforcements have been deployed in the area to ensure rescue and response operations. The provisional balance sheet established reports 10 soldiers who fell during the fighting and around fifty wounded who were taken care of. On the enemy side, at least 18 bodies of terrorists were counted during search operations which are still in progress. The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces salutes the memory of the fallen soldiers and wishes a speedy recovery to the injured.
