Cet dimanche 17 juillet 2022 a lieu le lancement officiel du camp vacances roller a la zone d’activité diverse (ZAD) de Ouagadougou. Cette édition première du genre a pour objectif de faire la promotion de ce sport très pratiqué mais méconnus des populations à entendre le promoteur Prestige Belgueden Dzouapoud.
Le promoteur Prestige Belgueden Dzouapoud fait savoir qu’au compte de la première édition du Roller Camp vacances, 11 clubs se sont inscrits sur les 17 clubs que compte le pays, « pour cette première édition, la majorité des clubs se sont inscrits. Nous avons 11 clubs sur les 17 clubs du Burkina Faso pour cette première édition », a-t-il précisé. Il note par ailleurs qu’il y a 42 inscrits qui participerons de façons assiduité a cette édition. « Pour cette édition, il y a 42 inscrits dont les âges varient de 3 à 32 ans. », dit-Il avant d’indiquer qu’il n’y a pas d’âge pour le roller tous en se référant a un sexagénaire qui s’est inscrit dans un club pour mieux apprendre ce sport qui est l’un des plus complet de par ses disciplines.
Prestige Belgueden Dzouapoud informe que le camp se déroulera de mi-juillet 2022 à fin du mois d’aout 2022 avec des séances variantes, « C’est un camp vacances qui se dérouleras de mi-juillet à la fin du mois d’aout 2022, avec 2 à 3 séances par semaines soit environ 30 séances pour cette édition du camps roller », a-t-il renchérit. A l’endroit de ceux qui pensent que c’est un sport de bandit, il fait savoir que c’est une question de passion « Le roller c’est un sport pour tous le monde, il y a des DG, des Ingénieurs qui font ce sport, c’est une question de passion, ce n’est pas du banditisme. », a-t-il fait savoir. Il a également lancé un appel aux autorités pour la mise en place d’une fédération qui permettra au Burkina Faso de participer à des compétitions au plan international.
Le parrain de cette édition, Rahamane Porgo, par ailleurs CEO du groupe Galaxie Team et président du Réseau des acteurs du digitale (RAD), a fait savoir toute sa satisfaction après le lancement. « Ce que nous avons vu va au-delà de nos attentes », s’est-il exprimé. Il renseigne que le roller est un sport très organisé « quand ont voient les pratiquants le faire on pense que c’est sport désorganisé, mais ce soir on a compris que c’est un sport très organisé et qu’il y a plusieurs disciplines dans le roller ». Il précise par ailleurs que c’est un sport à valoriser. Rahamane Porgo, a lancé un appel d’une part aux autorités pour qu’ils accompagnent le roller comme les autres sports populaire, d’autre part il a invité les parents à inscrire leurs enfants pour les occuper sainement pendant ces périodes de vacances.
